Using your Livongo meter is the easiest way to keep track of your blood sugar readings because it will log them for you! But if you don’t have a Livongo meter, you can still keep track of readings from your own device. It just takes a few extra steps. This quick guide will show you how.
Adding your blood glucose readings on the app
You may have the option to add readings through the app, depending on which diabetes program is covered by your employer or health insurance. If you do, follow these steps:
- Open your app and sign in to your account.
- Select “Get Started” (if this is your first time) or “Log.”
- Follow the prompts to add your reading.
- Use your meter to do a blood sugar check.
- Add details like when you last ate and how you’re feeling. This will help you track patterns in your data.
- When you’re finished, select “save.”
Adding your blood sugar readings online
If you are using a third-party device, you will need to add your readings manually. You may have the option to add readings through the app, depending on which diabetes program is covered by your employer or health insurance. If you don’t see that option in your app, follow these simple steps to add readings online:
- At a computer or using your phone browser, sign into your account.
- Select “Blood Sugar” in the menu on the left.
- Select[“All Logs”]at the top of your screen.
- Select “Add Reading.” If you’re using your phone browser, you’ll need to first tap the three dots on the right of your screen.
- Fill out the form to capture your blood sugar reading. Details like date, time, when you last ate, and how you're feeling will help you track patterns in your data.
- When you are finished, select “save.”
Scanning your blood sugar reading in the app
If your Diabetes Management program does not come with a device, you can add readings in the app by scanning your own device with your phone’s camera.
First, check the list of compatible meters below. You will also see the list of meters in your app.
Then, follow these steps to scan your reading:
